Shepherd's Haven of Bath, Inc is a non-profit Christian organization being the hands of Jesus, caring for the needy in the Bath, NY area. We need your help! We are still in the fundraising process to fund the opening of an adequate shelter that will provide a transitional, safe haven for the homeless and poor families and individuals in and around the Bath vicinity. |
Do we really need a shelter? |
For I was hungry and you gave me food: I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me. Matt 25:35-36 NKJV |
YES! Although there are numerous services that residents are fortunate to receive, may are still classified as homeless in the area. As a central location, Bath is an ideal area for a homeless ministry to be located. In New York alone, there are over 69,000 homeless individuals, based on the 2006 US Department of Housing and Urban Development reports. Over 500 individuals needed assistance with homelessness and/or housing issues in 2008 in Bath alone. Current fundraising project is the ongoing drive to raise funds to purchase the land and to build the actual shelter building. You can help support us, by sending us your tax-deductible donation to: Shepherd's Haven of Bath, Inc, PO Box 783, Bath, New York 14810, thank you! NO FUNDS ARE CURRENTLY USED TO PAY ANY SALARIES |
